Battlefleet Duo

Privacy Policy

Effective 7 October 2026

Battlefleet Duo has no account and no servers of ours. Your progress stays on your device and in your own iCloud. The only data that leaves for someone other than Apple is what Google receives to show an ad.

Who we are

Battlefleet Duo is made by Vision First Studio, in France. For anything about your privacy, write to hello@visionfirst.studio.

Your progress

Your battles, rank, orders, sovereigns, the ships and paint you own, your settings and any battle in progress are kept on your device. If you're signed in to iCloud, they're also kept in your private iCloud database, so they follow you to your other devices and survive a reinstall. Only you can read that database; we can't.

Deleting the game's data from iCloud (Settings → your name → iCloud) erases your progress for good, including sovereigns you bought.

Purchases

Purchases go through Apple's App Store. Apple handles the payment; we never see your payment details. The game receives a record of each purchase from Apple so it can give you what you bought.

Playing online

Online battles use Apple's Game Center. Your opponent sees your Game Center name, your rank, and how your fleet looks. Your moves travel through Apple's servers. Apple's privacy policy covers Game Center.

Playing nearby

To find another device on the same network, the game uses your local network, which iOS asks you to allow. Nearby players see the name iOS gives your device, usually just its model, like "iPhone". The battle then goes directly between the two devices.

Ads

Battlefleet Duo shows ads from Google AdMob, only once you've used the day's free battles, and never if you've bought unlimited play. To show an ad, Google receives your IP address (a rough location), an identifier specific to this app on your device, whether you watched or tapped the ad, and crash and performance data.

Each time the game starts, unless you have unlimited play, it also asks Google's consent service whether you need to be asked first; that request carries your IP address. When the App Store confirms unlimited play, the game skips this launch request. If you open Settings → Privacy choices, it still contacts Google to refresh your options and show the form. Buying or restoring unlimited play discards any cached ad; a request already in progress may still finish.

We never ask to track you across other companies' apps, so your device's advertising identifier is not shared. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, Google asks your consent first; you can change your answer anytime in the game's Settings → Privacy choices.

Google uses this data under its own privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy, and how Google uses information from apps that use its services.

Crash reports

If you've chosen to share analytics with app developers in your iPhone's settings, Apple may send us anonymous crash reports and usage statistics. You can turn this off in Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.

What we don't do

No tracking across apps, no account, and we never sell your data.

Email

If you write to us, we use your email address and message only to answer you.

Children

Battlefleet Duo is suitable for all ages, but it is made for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. Its ads are limited to those Google rates suitable for most audiences.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask to see, correct or delete personal data, or object to its use. We hold none on our own servers: your progress is in your own iCloud, and ad data is held by Google, which you can manage through Privacy choices and your Google settings. Ads in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland rely on your consent, and you can withdraw it at any time. You can also complain to the CNIL (cnil.fr).

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and its date.
